Cleveland Police Federation Pre Retirement Course Cleveland Police Federation are running two further pre retirement courses on the following dates: Wednesday 1st February 2012 Wednesday 14th March 2012 The course is provided by the Oakhill Partnership on behalf of Cleveland Joint Branch Board and features speakers from many different fields relating to retirement issues including investments, future employment, tax issues and pension advice. The course is one day in length and lunch and refreshments are provided. It is attended in duty time. This course is ideally suited to any officers who are within two years of retirement, but priority will be given to those who have a retirement in the near future. Officers are welcome to bring their spouse/partner along also. If you require a place please contact the Federation office on ext 1246 as soon as possible or gthorburn@cleveland.polfed.org Matrimonial Surgery Russell Jones & Walker Solicitors has expanded its Specialist Family Law department headed by Amanda McAllister. The local representative is Kirsty Morbey and they specialise in divorce and providing advice on matters of Police pensions. They are holding Matrimonial surgeries on Monday 17th October, Monday 7th November and Monday 21st November 2011 within the Federation Office, 46 Yarm Road, Stockton on Tees. The areas in which they specialise are:- Divorce and legal separation Police pensions on separation Financial matters Domestic violence Child Maintenance and the CSA Unmarried property disputes Disputes involving children contact Residence Change of name Pre-nuptials The following incentives are offered to all staff:- Free interview Reduced rates 24 hour free advice helpline Specialist advice On line advice and assistance Complete confidentiality Anyone wishing to make an appointment with Kirsty Morbey should contact the Federation Office on Ext. 1246. Please note that if anyone makes an appointment and finds themselves unable to attend, could the Federation Office be notified as soon as possible. This will enable the staff to make alternative arrangements and save the representative from Russell Jones & Walker a wasted trip.
